A little Surprised

I was very happy to find foot rests that show my appreciation for the state I was born in........I have shown them off repeatedly until yesterday. There I was at a traffic light and as I waited for the light to turn green I went to adjust my seat and as I lifted up using both feet the rest bent. I understand that it is called a rest and not an adjust but I did not think it would give so easily on a 210 lb. man. It is now so out of position that it is not comfortable to use.
